Micro Cutters Boxed Set are just what you need to make small but precisely cut holes or circles of clay. Â They are open at the top to push the cut pieces out. Use a toothpick, needle tool or something flat so that you don’t damage your cut piece.
Each set contains 40 pieces and comes with 8 different sized cutters in a plastic storage box:
- 5 x 1mm outer diameter
- 5 x 1.4mm outer diameter
- 5 x 2mm outer diameter
- 5 x 3mm outer diameter
- 5 x 4mm outer diameter
- 5 x 6mm outer diameter

Micro Cutters Boxed Set Design Idea and Tips for Using:
Make a Polka Dot sheet of Clay
- Roll out 2 different coloured pieces of clay of the same thickness. Choice of thickness depends on final use.
- Using the hole cutter of your choice, cut a hole in each piece and gently remove the circles using a needle tool or toothpick.
- Turn the circles over and place gently in the opposite coloured clay.
- Repeat using same or varying sized circles until you are satisfied with the pattern.
- Place photo copying paper over and gently burnish.
- Cut shapes and use as desired.
Tips
Burnish the sheet of clay onto a tile. When you lift the cutter (after cutting), the cut piece is more likely to stay on the tile and not in the cutter.
If removing the cut piece from the cutter, use a blunt object so that you don’t damage the circle. The flat end of a skewer works in the small cutters while the larger cutters require something large and flat on the end that will fit in the hole to press out your cut shape. I use the flat round end of a craft knife (end opposite the blade).
