U Strips are used to suspend pieces while powder is being sprinkled on. Helps to prevent powder from getting under the piece.  The U shape piece of metal allows a spatula to be placed under the piece to lift it cleanly for repositioning onto a firing stand or firing sheet.  This set contains the 2 different sized U Strips for large and small size pieces.

The double ended spatula is used for gently lifting pieces off the U Strip to transfer to a firing stand or firing sheet.

The Firing Stand is used to suspend pieces with minimum contact to the back of the piece.  Keeps the back of pieces clean and allows double sided enamelling.

Sand paper is used to roughen the surface to be enamelled.  A rough surface ensures a secure bond of the enamel to metal or polymer clay etc.
