Curing or Baking:
Cernit Polymer Clay polymerizes (hardens) between 110 and 130°C (230-266°F) in a preheated oven. Baking time – 30 minutes per 6mm. Bake multiple times to add components to pieces. Baking at temperatures higher than recommended by the manufacturer may cause harmful gases to develop and can compromise colour.
Important note:Do not attempt to cure in a microwave oven!
Finishing:
For doll making, sanding is not necessary as the slight roughness is a perfect imitation for skin. If a smoother effect is preferred, after curing Cernit can be sanded with wet & dry sandpaper, beginning at lower grit and progressing to higher grits.
