Baroque Art Gilders Paste Is a waxed based medium made up of resins, waxes, and a high concentration of pigments. Baroque Art Gilders Paste be used to highlight and touch up many different surfaces. Baroque Art Gilders Paste can be used on wood, polymer clay, wax candles, gilding restoration, resin castings, etched glass, filigree, gourds, ceramics and terra cotta, metal including brass, wrought iron, steel, aluminium and alloys. It is water resistance and UV resistant therefore has a great many uses internally and externally for what ever your project may be. Use Baroque Art Gilders Paste on your next jewellery project to add non-fading highlights of shimmery colour.
Apply Baroque Art Gilders Paste as is onto clean, dry, oil free surfaces with your finger, paintbrush, sponge, soft cloth, or any other desired applicator. Burnishing with a soft cloth will produce a high lustre or gilded effect. Alternatively thin a little of Baroque Art Gilders Paste with paint thinner to create a cream, paint, stain or wash for your own unique finish even layering or mixing the colours to give a truly unique finish. Completely smooth surfaces need to be roughened slightly before application with a fine sandpaper or fine steel wool. Baroque Art Gilders Paste is touch dry in 10 -15 minutes and completely dry in approx. 12 hours with no tacky residue. Do not polish for at least 12 hours.
If product becomes hard in the tin you can rejuvenate it by adding a small amount of paint thinner or mineral sprits and mixing. Mix only the required amount and do not use any oil based cleaners/ solvents to rejuvenate, as it will remain wet or tacky. One tin of Baroque Art Gilders Paste 30ml/ 1.5 oz. covers almost 3.0sq meters (30 feet)
