PanPastel colours are professional artists’ quality soft pastels packed in a unique pan format (cake-like). The ability to blend and apply pastel (dry) like paint makes them unqiue. Use them for painting, drawing and mixed media. They work perfectly with polymer clay because they are loaded with the finest quality artists’ pigments in the most concentrated colours possible. The colours have excellent lightfastness and are fully erasable (on media other than clay).

We carry a range of silkscreens, manufactured by MOIKO for use with pastels, powders & chalks. The PanPastels are perfect for using with these screens.  They also work really well with stencil techniques on polymer clay. Seal with Cernit Varnish (or similar) after baking to keep the colour from smudging. Kato liquid clay, set with a heat gun is also ideal for sealing in the lush colours of PanPastels while giving a brilliant shine.

Compared to Soft Pastel Sticks:
PanPastels and soft pastel sticks create very different marks. Compared to sticks, colours are semi-transparent, mixable and low dust. They are also a quicker and cleaner way to achieve more uniform coverage for large blocks of colour.
