Suzanne
Who are We?
Suzanne Ward began her creative / business career with a shop retailing leathercraft supplies, followed by a career in the fashion industry, designing and wholesaling her own range of clothing. Studying Business and Accounting enabled Suzanne to take up executive roles in the Local Government sector, which lasted 20 years. Retirement saw Suzanne feeding the creative spirit motivated by Jewellery and Polymer Clay classes. Suzanne soon found supplies of clay and other equipment non-existent in Western Australia and the idea for an online store was formed.
Suzanne is the “bean counter” / accountant and a published polymer clay artisan who likes to experiment and find ways to use new products with polymer clay.
Susannah Ward began her working life as an apprenticeship cabinet maker. After qualifying and working in the industry for some years, Suzie met Suzanne’s son Ben and they went north to work on a gold mine with Suzie driving a massive loader feeding a crusher. On their return to “civilization”, Suzie studied drafting and landed a job as a cadastral drafter, later moving into residential drafting – designing some award winning homes. Suzanne enticed Suzie into the polymer clay business with a promise of an interesting, fun job, working for yourself!
Susannah is the warehouse and logistics manager while snatching time to “clay play” whenever the opportunity presents!
2wards Polymer Clay was officially launched by Christi Friesen, world renowned polymer clay artist, during her visit to Geraldton in August 2014.
